Alain Normand Mâcon La Roche–Vineuse, 2007
Only about 12 cases of this chardonnay make it to the Midwest each year, and the wine buyer at the Sendik’s in Brookfield nabbed every case. You might recall that we featured another Mâcon white a few issues back. Well, if you tried that Mâcon Lugny and liked it, you will love this Mâcon La Roche-Vineuse. Alain Normand, the man behind the wine from vine to bottle, uses his own hands to harvest the grapes and “native yeast, giving this wine unusually full flavors.”
