“This is my favorite pumpkin beer. The deep copper color lets you know there's something special going on. As you bring the glass to your nose, aromas of pumpkin and pie spices emerge with hints of vanilla and roasted pecan. The first sip reveals cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, allspice and vanilla. The big sweet malt back ends with a warming alcohol finish.”
One of the most recognizable pumpkin beers around, Southern Tier’s Pumking has a gentle haze that sits atop its pale golden color beneath a thin white head. Canned pumpkin and hints of cooked white rice invite caramel cube and vanilla extract flavors, followed by nutmeg and cinnamon on the nose. Vanilla tannins hide behind graham cracker pie crust in this hefty beer. To top it off, it doesn’t come close to drinking like its alcohol percent might suggest.
