"This is my at home white table wine. This blows away any Pinot Grigio from Italy in that same price range. Aged on the lees gives it a great body and texture which you don’t find from Italy. This gives it just a touch of color, but really adds to the body and texture of this wine. This can’t be beat!"

"I remembered this wine from many years ago as always one of my favorite New Zealand Sauvignon Blancsnot too big on the grapefruit, but has a lot of grassy qualities, which I really enjoy. Plus, mangoes are one of my favorite fruits, so I'm happy to drink any wine that tastes like that! What I love most is that it was really bold, making it pretty unforgettable."

This Sauvignon Blanc is loaded with smells of mandarin oranges, mango—serious tropical fruit bomb! The palate reflects this citrus and tropical fruit cornucopia, but there is also a lot of vegetal freshness of green pepper and grass. At first it's in-your-face fruit, with a long and powerful flavor. It really grows on you, and those green notes create an awesome balance. Another good one that’s great with battered fish, the light finish is a little bit crispy, just like the fish fry at The Swinging Door. They make their own chips, which are highly-addictive.

"A dynamite Riesling that's, in my mind, one of the best American Rieslings. I first had this when I worked at a downtown wine bar and it's stuck with me ever since. It's drier but still has great sweetness that is everlasting. Definitely lives up to the name "heroic," and is almost as sublime as Beethoven's 3rd Symphony also entitled "Eroica." The last time I had this was at the original Pizza Man and it was great with a Hawaiian pizza!"

How sweet it is! The aromas of my favorite Washington Riesling are of clover honey, honeysuckle and ripe honeydew melon. However, the honey-like sweetness is matched by a citric acid mineraly-tingle on the palate with a "Cuties" quality of sweet and tart flavors, with lots of Granny Smith apples, too. The finish is chalky mineral at end—almost metallic or salty, like a pinch of sel gris is melting on your tongue. This Riesling has a great evolution and the flavor and crispness will cut through several bites of greasy deep-fried or battered fish. We think a ginger or curry coleslaw would be tasty with this—like the one at The Irish Pub.
