With beautiful décor and an amazing view and patio, I’m never surprised when I have a great seafood experience at Molly Cool’s and I doubt you will be either. The menu changes daily, so you know you’re getting quality and freshness when you visit.
This day started with their Raw Bar Platter ($34.95; serves 2-4) is a wonderfully-arranged platter of peel and eat shrimp, seared Ahi tuna, oysters on the half shell, ceviche and Alaskan king crab. It’s served with sides of cocktail, ponzu and remoulade sauces for you to enjoy as well. All extremely fresh, flavorful and a platter a small group could enjoy while sitting one on Milwaukee’s best patios!
Molly Cool’s has such a well-executed and extensive menu that we ventured over to the day’s sushi specials and ordered a Caterpillar Roll ($12.95): a wonderful combination of crab meat, cucumber and wasabi mayo topped with an avocado. It was exceptionally fresh and flavorful! Expertly highlighting the variety of seafood offerings and skill in the kitchen at Molly Cool’s, they put out a Seafood Trio ($24.95), which delivers pan-seared Ahi tuna, blackened swordfish and grilled salmon over rice. The trio is served with blanched spinach and ponzu sauce and is a must for anyone anxious to a variety of fresh seafood in one sitting.
We rounded out the meal with their Seafood Paella ($25.95), which is a skillet packed with mixed fish, shrimp, clams, mussels and a scallop tossed into flavorful saffron rice. Cherry tomatoes, green peas, saffron sauce and garlic aioli are also found throughout the paella and make every bite diverse and packed with a new flavor profile. Such a treat! Molly Cool’s is one of Milwaukee’s gems. The patio, the view and their overall commitment to quality that begins with six days a week of seafood deliveries and an ever-changing menu speaks volumes. It’s clear Molly Cool’s strives to be known for freshness and the place to be for seafood in Milwaukee. I know it’s one of my first choices for a great seafood experience any day or night out.
