Riverwest is one of the more mysterious bar districts in Milwaukee. Few of us tend to be familiar with where Riverwest is located, and what bars, restaurants, or businesses are located within.  One thing is certain; there is truly unique appeal to many of the establishments in Riverwest. Among them is Stonefly Brewery, one of Milwaukee’s local craft brewpubs.

Stonefly is located at the site of the former Onopa Brewery on Center Street. On the outside, it’s an unassuming yet inviting building with classic appeal. On the inside, eclectic artwork and collectables surround a spacious dining and bar area. Toward the back sits a stage just waiting to entertain. You see, Stonefly hosts an array of performances from live music acts all the way to the Ex Fabula storytelling competition.  That’s right, a storytelling competition. I bet I’ve got your attention now! There was one in early April, but check out the Stonefly website for future shows, or look up Ex Fabula online. No, seriously, you must see this.
